Wolfgang Emperger joined Shiji as Senior Vice President to lead all the sales, account management, customer service and operational teams in the region.
Berlin, Germany, June 14, 2022: Shiji, the global hospitality technology innovator, has today announced that Wolfgang Emperger recently joined the company as Senior Vice President in a newly created role that combines the regions of Europe, Africa and the UK & Ireland together.
Wolfgang has been brought on to further grow Shiji’s business in the region and continue the service quality the company is known for. He assumes full responsibility for all the sales, account management, customer service and operational teams in the region, supporting Shiji’s local hospitality clients, whose businesses depend on the company’s range of technology platforms, services and solutions.
Shiji employs over 750 people in the region – working with over 29,000 hotels, including leaders such as IHG, The Peninsula Hotels, Radisson, Minor Hotels, Mandarin Oriental, Ruby Hotels, Sircle Collection and more. Shiji’s solutions cover the full spectrum of hotel tech from distribution through property management, point of sale, payments solutions, and activities management to guest experience and more.
Wolfgang joins Shiji from HRS, where he was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing for EMEA, and prior to that he spent 11 years with Infor, ending up as Vice President of Infor Hospitality for EMEA.
With over 25 years of hospitality experience – including senior roles at Marriott Hotels, Cendyn, Netviewer, and Amadeus Hospitality Solutions – Wolfgang holds both an MBA from Henley Business School in the UK and a degree in hotel management from the Hotel Management College Bad Woerishofen, Germany.
